It's been a busy few days for me lately. I just got back from working in Petersburg, Alaska, and two spot news stories sort of fall into my lap.
The first one was a Juneau Police Department news release stating that Alaska Department Fish and Game had uncovered a human leg and boot in their debris cleanup of Gastineau Channel near Sandy Beach.
ON WEDNESDAY, May 10, 2017, the Juneau Police Department held a wreath-laying memorial ceremony at Evergreen Cemetery to honor two officers shot and killed in 1979.
OFFICER RICHARD ADAIR and Officer Jimmy Kennedy were killed in the line of duty on April 17, 1979, when they were responding to a report of shots fired when they were shot and killed.
OFFICERS PLACED a large wreath at the grave site of Adair.
