I head reffed my first regulation game for my home league, the Old Capitol City Roller Girls, on Saturday at the Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, Coralville, Iowa.

Since leaving Quad-City Rollers in March under pretty dubious terms, I vowed to not watch or support the league again. I was heartbroken, and didn't want to even talk with many of the people on that team.

Unfortunately I volunteered to head referee a scrimmage for my league, Old Capitol City Roller Girls (Iowa City), before knowing who the opponent was. Well this Sunday, it happened to be mix of QCR and OCCRG skaters.

I'm glad I got it out of my system, but I still don't think I'll be going to a QCR event any time soon. Sometimes it's just best to let sleeping dogs lie.

Work on the social media front has been getting busier and busier. I've started using Tweetdeck at work to keep track of all the various Twitter accounts that need monitoring.

It seems like I keep adding more and more social media outlets to my workload, and some of them tend to take a backseat to the other ones. Right now Facebook and Twitter are at the forefront, and our focus is on growing these two products as much as possible. Things like YouTube and Pinterest are a nice little bonus, but not my primary goal.
