Several things are rolling out in regards to Facebook including the introduction of videos that automatically play as you scroll past them.
Thankful the audio is turned off, otherwise I think most Facebook users would be in for a shock.
Facebook will be integrating video ads by Thursday, and we could start seeing the impact immediately. Facebook insists the advertisements will remain silent unless you turn the sound on. (Which will be nice, because I really hate those online ads that automatically start playing audio.)

It's no surprise that video sharing has grown significantly. The largest increase in social media applications cater partially to the visual medium: Vine, Instagram, SnapChat, etc., so Facebook certainly isn't barking up the wrong tree. i just wonder how successful of a strategy it is.
Do your self-edits really matter
Not really. If you start to write a post in Facebook, but decide upon further thought that you don't want to post it: Tough cookies.
There's coding that allows it to see what you type as you type it -- even if you backspace out of it. "The things you explicitly choose not to share aren't entirely private."
2013 year in review
I posted my own Year in Review after determining that Facebook's chosen moments in my life for 2013 were less than stellar, and actually seemed to put an emphasis on the events that happened in my life as they occurred later in the year.
Thankfully my memory isn't so horrible that I forgot some key dates. I'm sure I missed some, but by and large, I feel my list is superior to Facebook's.
